In recognition of the statewide impact of a completed State Route 167, the Lewis County Economic Development Council has announced its support for the project.

The EDC is actively involved in working to ensure the success of local business in their community. Since its inception, the EDC has worked with more than 80 firms that have located in their community, providing over 2,300 jobs. In addition, they helped more than 250 local firms expand or strengthen their operations.

Finally, the EDC has worked with many partners on helping to solve regulatory, utility and transportation problems. Their support for the completion of SR 167 demonstrates a recognition of the importance of a strong freight network that includes direct access to our state's major gateways.
