A statewide transportation funding package that includes completing state routes 167 and 509 is one of the Port’s top priorities for the 2015 state legislative session.
At their Thursday meeting, commissioners will hear an overview of the state and federal legislative issues expected to impact Puget Sound container ports this year. The 114th U.S. Congress opened today, and the state legislative session begins Jan. 12.
Commissioners are also expected to consider a legal issue, commissioner board involvement and elect new officers. See the full agenda.
Commission meetings begin at 1:30 p.m. in Room 104 of the Fabulich Center, 3600 Port of Tacoma Road. Meetings are streamed live on the Port's website.
