Candidates for the 2nd, 25th, and 27th legislative district squared off last night in a candidate forum sponsored by AARP held at the Puyallup United Methodist Church. While much of the talk centered around long-term care issues, transportation was also raised. Incumbent House representative Hans Zeiger, in particular, noted the importance of connecting Puyallup to Tacoma along SR-167. "We need to complete SR 167 and bridge the gaps to the Port of Tacoma. I won’t commit my vote to a transportation revenue package unless it includes that,” he said.
