At their Thursday meeting, commissioners are expected to consider a five-year agreement with Mazda North America Operations.
Mazda has imported more than 1.4 million vehicles through Port of Tacoma since 1979, making it our oldest auto customer. The agreement will preserve 30 full-time jobs and keep Mazda in Tacoma through September 2019.
The action agenda also includes amendments to two rail agreements and the demolition of 10 structures on a Port property. See the full agenda.
Commission meetings begin at noon in Room 104 of the Fabulich Center, 3600 Port of Tacoma Road. Meetings are streamed live on the Port's website.
