The News Tribune this morning weighed in on the importance completing State Route 167, arguably the most significant economic development project in the state. While we made a quick reference to the editorial in our last post, we thought the editorial's strength merited a post of its own.
"When South Sound lawmakers talk about their legislative priorities, near the top is finishing state Route 167 – the six-mile Port of Tacoma bypass. But completing the SR 167 extension has been a priority for more than two decades. It’s time to stop talking about it and get moving on it."
Wise words, indeed.
