Due to the cost of fuel, the fuel surcharge for the Port of Tacoma straddle carriers will be adjusted as follows:
- The North Intermodal Yard lift surcharge will decrease from $0.51 to $0.39 per lift, effective Nov. 22.
- The gate charge Port-operated terminals surcharge will decrease from $0.51 to $0.39 per lift, effective Nov. 22.
- The straddle carrier rental surcharge will decrease from $5.06 to $3.93 per hour, effective Dec. 1.
These charges are based on fuel costs for Port of Tacoma straddle carriers between Oct. 18 and Nov. 14. The fuel surcharge will be reviewed again Dec. 19, with notification by Dec. 24.
