Due to the cost of fuel, the fuel surcharge for the Port of Tacoma straddle carriers will be adjusted as follows:
- The North Intermodal Yard lift surcharge will decrease from $0.92 to $0.51 per lift, effective Oct. 25.
- The gate charge Port-operated terminals surcharge will decrease from $0.92 to $0.51 per lift, effective Oct. 25.
- The straddle carrier rental surcharge will decrease from $9.18 to $5.06 per hour, effective Nov. 1.
These charges are based on fuel costs for Port of Tacoma straddle carriers between Sept. 20 and Oct. 17. The fuel surcharge will be reviewed again Nov. 14, with notification by Nov. 19.
