Supporters of SR 167 and other transportation advocates are invited to join Gov. Jay Inslee at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 28, for a transportation press event. The governor will underscore the need for a balanced and multimodal transportation investment package that completes critical projects across the state, including the SR 167 and SR 509 projects.
The event will be held at Oberto headquarters in Kent. Like many distribution centers in the Kent Valley, Oberto relies on state infrastructure to move people and goods quickly and safely throughout the region. Their facility is close to SR 167 and also to the 228th corridor that will link to SR 509 and the Puget Sound Gateway project.
