Truck staging rules at Pierce County Terminal/Evergreen aim to alleviate congestion before the terminal opens at 8 a.m. Do not stage on State Route 509 northbound or Alexander Avenue.
Between 5 and 8 a.m. Monday through Friday:
- Trucks are allowed to stage on the right shoulder of southbound SR 509 between Alexander Avenue and Taylor Way
- Terminal access is prohibited from northbound SR 509 or eastbound Alexander Avenue
- Terminal access is prohibited from northbound Alexander Avenue from US 99/Pacific Highway East
Truckers that fail to stage properly may be subject to fines.
