TRAC Intermodal and Direct ChassisLink announced today a new chassis pool in the Pacific Northwest. Each company's announcement is copied below:
TRAC notice: TRAC Opens New Chassis Pool in Pacific Northwest
Effective February 1, 2015, in an effort to improve flexibility and convenience for the chassis pool stakeholders in the Pacific Northwest, TRAC Intermodal and Direct ChassisLink Inc. (DCLI) have decided to combine portions of their chassis fleets to form a new pool, the TRAC Pacific Northwest Chassis Pool (the "Pool"). TRAC Chassis Pool Management LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TRAC Intermodal, is the manager of the Pool.
Until all chassis contributed to the Pool have been remarked as "TPNP", please treat all chassis marked as WCMP, TNWA, SSAT or TPNP as TPNP chassis. Please note that DCLI will maintain its dedicated DCLI/DCLP pool, and its chassis from that pool (marked DCLI and/or DCLP) will not be contributed to the Pool.
Direct ChassisLink notice: PNW Chassis Pool Update
Effective 2/1/15, Direct ChassisLink, Inc. (“DCLI”) will become a contributor to the new TRAC Pacific Northwest Pool (“TPNP”) managed by TRAC Intermodal in order to support our G6 shipping alliance customers, Hyundai Merchant Marine and MOL. Chassis contributed to the TPNP pool are marked with the following: WCMP, SSAT, TNWA, TPNP.
In addition to contributing to TPNP, DCLI will continue to operate its neutral DCLI/DCLP pool to support other chassis customers in the Pacific Northwest, including Maersk Line and Mediterranean Shipping Company and their motor carriers. Chassis contributed to the DCLI/DCLP pool are marked as “DCLI”.
