Beginning in early June, two services will relocate from Tacoma’s Washington United Terminals to the neighboring Pierce County Terminal.
The terminal relocation schedule is as follows:
Mediterranean Pacific Service (MPS)
- Last ship at WUT is the Seaspan Ningbo on June 4
- First ship at PCT is the HS Colon on June 11
U.S. West Coast – Australasia Loop 2 (WAN)
- Last ship at WUT is the ER Wilhelmshaven on May 30
- First ship at PCT is the Cap Pasado on June 13
The MPS is jointly operated by Hapag-Lloyd, a member of the Grand Alliance shipping consortium, and Hamburg Sud. The WAN is jointly operated by Hapag-Lloyd, Hamburg Sud, U.S. Lines and ANL.

PCT is a 141-acre container terminal at the end of the Blair Waterway. The marine terminal features seven super-post-Panamax cranes, capable of handling the largest ships in the world, along with on-dock rail and a berth measuring 2,087 feet.
