In a letter to the Legislature's transportation committee chairs, WSDOT's Assistant Secretary for Tolling, Craig Stone, delivered a report outlining how to advance the Puget Sound Gateway project-- a combination of State Route 167 completion, State Route 509 and I-5 HOT lanes.
"In 2012, WSDOT began an effort to develop the SR 509, I-5, and SR-167 Puget Sound Gateway Project which would relieve traffic congestion and completes SR 167 and SR 509 which are critical freight corridors," wrote Stone. Here is a copy of the full Craig Stone Letter.
