Don Esterbrook, chief operations officer, will provide an update on the Port of Tacoma Feb. 9 at the Transportation Club of Tacoma’s lunch meeting.

The Port’s marine cargo operations and real estate support more than 29,000 jobs and generate nearly $3 billion in economic activity, according to a study released in November. Esterbrook will speak to the Port’s economic impact and the proposed Seaport Alliance with the Port of Seattle.

The event begins at 11:30 for registration and networking at La Quinta Inn and Suites, 1425 East 27th St. in Tacoma. Lunch is served at noon. Cost is $25 for members registered by Feb. 6 and $35 for nonmembers and at the door. Reserve your seat.
