The State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) provides a way to identify possible environmental impacts that may result from issuing permits for public facilities, or adopting regulations, policies or plans.
Information provided during the SEPA review process helps the Port of Tacoma and community understand how a proposal might affect the environment. This information may be used to evaluate alternatives and measures to eliminate or reduce the likely environmental impacts of the proposal. Read the Port of Tacoma's SEPA resolution (PDF).
