Port of Tacoma Commissioners on August 20 approved soil cleanup at the site of the future Maritime Center and remediation planning for the former Sound Mattress site.  

Commissioners approved funding to support the City of Fife’s homelessness street outreach program for three years, and honored Bruce Kendall, who is retiring from the Tacoma-Pierce County Economic Development Board.
